Let the black cloak of destiny darken their hope and the cold breath of the reaper freeze the hearts of those who dare raise their voice against Satan’s sick messiah. He showed us the value of hate and scorn and led our path towards the holocaust. Inside the dome of his skull still resound his hateful speeches that mesmerized the masses. In his empty sockets Hell’s fire still seems to unshine. He led his followers through the left hand path under the watchwords that their god was at their side and devoured them as a beast, ingenious Satan’s sick messiah. War was not the end though the beginning of a new age, those who thought where victorious purified his body with fire to avoid the exodus of the masses but his skull was preserved as the echo of his voice will last for all eternity, hammer of the meek, Satan’s sick messiah.

My rage takes me to the opening at the deep forest and the overwhelming presence is perceived in this place, centre of the ancient cult to the god of terror, the one that takes us all with no mercy. Here lies the corpse of the hyperborean. Behold! Before me the genesis of the maggots leading towards south, abandoning the remains of the cadaver, never towards north destroying all with their slow march as a fire that burns all that lives. The slimy movement of the worms oozing from the dead body create a life-like pulsating movement in the carcass as if life itself had forgotten to exist anymore and is expulsed forever. Oh Satan! Before me is showed Death in all its splendorous glory, you are the occultation, you are the eclipse!
When did Death decide to end with this being, sewing its heat and its breath, Satan? How empty and obsolete seems our destiny when Death arrives.
Here ends my path, I offer my life to you, Satan so that you do with my remains what I had the honour to behold.

Bleak, dark atmosphere is created well, regardless of pace.IJsval almost sounds like a product of the 90s second wave scene that it’s so clearly enamoured with.Cold, icy melody seeps out of the music like a malignant entity, and combined with the abundant use of synths, makes for an engaging listen. I like the band’s use of dual vocals, with one set consisting of piercing screams, and the other adopting a more unhinged approach. The production is well-judged, balanced between clarity and rawness
